Based in Matlock Derbyshire our very experienced trainers are all RTITB qualified and registered instructors. Our senior trainer / supervisor Keith Gavin has over 30 years materials handling training and consultancy experience working for a major world wide manufacturing company, managing the UK Materials Handling training operations. As well as delivering training courses for large UK Companies. Keith has also run materials handling training and consultancy courses in places as far away as Moscow . With almost 25 years continued RTITB registration he is a fully qualified Lift Truck operations NVQ assessor / verifier as well as being a ROSPA qualified Manual Handling trainer and assessor.
First Step Training has the advantage of all training and consultancy being carried out on site. Rates are extremely competitive.

The Health & Safety Commission's Code Of Practice, RIDER OPERATED LIFT TRUCKS - OPERATOR TRAINING, issued under the authority of the Health & Safety at Work Act, states that all employers must ensure that Forklift Operators are adequately trained.

 

All Forklift Operator Courses are designed to meet the requirements of the Code of Practice and train operators to use trucks both safely and efficiently. Courses are carried out by our RTITB registered instructors
